What we're looking for...

We are looking for a PHP Web Developer to be part of our dynamic, multi-creative team.

Duties will include supporting the design team and front end developers in the construction of e‐commerce, content managed and database‐driven websites through a mix of custom built systems, Wordpress and Magento. Duties will also include developing custom applications for clients and internal projects, system administration and the set up and management of hosting accounts, email and domains. You may also be expected to provide training to clients, attend meetings on-site and off-site and be involved in the planning of projects.

Ideally you will have an understanding of and interest in modern web applications and development trends and an above average awareness of other development languages.

This is a challenging role. It involves working to tight deadlines and producing work of a demonstrably high standard with huge emphasis placed on attention to detail.

This permanent post (subject to a three month probationary period), is based on standard hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday although some flexibility may be required.

A little bit about ourselves...

Here at Rufus we're passionate about design. We love it, it really drives us. Based at our offices on the banks of the River Wear in Sunderland, we deliver a range of creative services to clients locally, regionally, nationally and occasionally even a little further. Oh and we have over 21 years experience in the industry.

We think - Research, creative briefings, doodles, planning, sketches, mood boards, conversations, concepts, idea generation, penny dropping, epiphany moments, trend discovery and opportunities.

We create - Brands, websites, brochures, reports, stationery, signage, exhibition and display graphics, illustration, audio visual media, e-marketing, interior design, marketing plans, photography, retail anthropology, anything visual and creative... even office furniture!

We connect - People to people and business to business. If we know of people information, organisations or funding streams that we think may be of interest to you, we will let you know. Connections are for sharing!
